It has been 7 months since I came around to this way of thinking on what I feed my body. I knew most of the information in this blog to be true, but I wasn't willing to change or didn't care about changing until I was faced with health related issues that I couldn't ignore anymore. When I started this process, I cut out sodas cold turkey, stopped eating sweets, and even eating out. What I put in my body became a top priority in my life. It hasn't been easy, but it has been extremely rewarding. By that I mean, physically I look and feel great. It's an understatement to say that it has changed my life. It has given me a passion to share with others this so-called secret on how to live a healthier life. This secret is not such a secret, though, because this is how we were always supposed to eat. At the beginning of this journey, Tom told me that "everything starts with our health, and without our health, we have nothing". This statement is so profound and has motivated me to this day. Thank you, Roger, for the wealth of information in this blog. I think the key to staying true to this lifestyle change is to educate yourself continually. This website is a great source of information.

It really comes down to fear Brian... fear of change, fear of the unknown, fear of failure. Start today and step into that fear. Dare to fail and look at things as they really are, opportunities to grow!

It seems like we make things or at least see things as more difficult than perhaps they really are. And the most difficult part in reality is starting.

This is great advice! Until six months ago, these two important issues were not part of my life. I was like most people that didn't want to give up certain things in my life; time for exercise and comfort foods. The key to changing my mindset was realizing I was living a very unhealthy lifestyle, and if I wanted to change, it would have to be permanent and not temporary. I made a goal of what I wanted my overall health and body to look like. I implemented this plan. I won't lie, it isn't easy and it can be discouraging, but I have found that the bigger goal is more rewarding than giving in to temporary pleasures of skipping a workout or having a soda. Seeing results from exercising and feeling amazing from feeding my body whole, nutritional food is the ultimate reward. This "ageless" concept is new to me, but I'm beginning to understand how it can change my life. Thank you, Tom, for sharing your passion for living the best life possible.
